Anti-Fracking Activists & Concerned Californians are making the trek
to Sacramento to tell The Governor one thing: Don’t Frack California! Oil companies have shown great interest in California’s Monterey Shale,
which could hold more than 15 billion barrels of oil. The Monterey Shale
is located under the San Joaquin Valley, stretching across most of
central California.
Oil and gas production results in billions of gallons of contaminated wastewater (flowback water) that is often disposed of in underground injection wells according to the report. In some cases the contaminated water was dumped into Lakes, Rivers and Canals! Like the case in Manchester, UK.
