Who is John Whittaker?
Many people in the UK may never of heard about Mr Whittaker, But there are many reasons you should have. He is the 31st richest person in the world (2013) with a private wealth of more than $3.37 billion, Most of which is from property & land investment including Manchester Ship Canal Company, Peel group, Trafford Centre, airports, quarries, industrial estates & 312 others according to Companies House.
John was born 14 March 1942 in Bury, Lancashire, England. He was educated at Ampleforth College, a Catholic boarding school in Yorkshire, and considered becoming a priest before deciding to join the family business, Peel Mills in 1971. He then joined the Stock Exchange listing in 1981 under the name Peel Holdings p.l.c. During the 80s, the media-shy entrepreneur fought a fierce battle to get the Manchester Ship Canal Company, which was later transformed into the Trafford Centre, one of Britain's eminent buildings. In 2011, Whittaker sold the Trafford Centre to Capital Shopping Centers in return for one-fourth of the shares of the group. Two years later, serving as group's Deputy Chairman, he renamed the group into Intu Properties, hoping to create a stronger brand. In addition to his Peel Group, he holds approximately 30% shares of Pinewood Shepperton, the well-known Britain's film studio where Harry Potter and James Bond movies were filmed. He now resides in his mansion on Isle of Man as the Richest Resident.
We have to ask ourselves if putting public money into organisations like
Peel, who operate through a web of companies that funnel a lot of money
offshore, is actually in the national interest.

Not only is John Whittaker interested in Fracking, But he also has plans for other damaging process's including a 1,600 megawatt coal station in Scotland backed by Saudi oil money. He also visited China with the David Cameron crew!
Could this mean he's trying to get the Chinese to invest in fracking our land? Hopefully not
