Second earthquake to hit the UK's smallest county!


A second earthquake rocked Britain’s smallest county today, sparking fears of a mini San Andreas fault deep beneath the region! Terrified residents of Rutland were shaken awake by a tremor – three time stronger than the 3.2 shock that hit the area 24 hours before, Read the story here. Millions of years ago a major fault may have run under Britain and that one day a magnitude six quake could strike, causing major damage. Britain’s largest recorded earthquake was in 1931 on Dogger Bank in the North Sea. It had a magnitude of 6.1.
