There have been multiple incidences of heavy-handed police tactics
against protesters. Greater Manchester Police have deployed a
disproportional amount of officers, including their Tactical Aid Unit,
to police a non-violent protest. However, despite the peacefulness of
the protesters, they have been treated like criminals by the GMP with
people being pushed, threatened, intimidated, and some even being
assaulted and subsequently hospitalized.
